We contacted Safezone to assist in disposing of asbestos roofing left after a garage conversion. They arrived within the hour having just completed a job nearby, and we were very pleased with the price quoted, and the professional and efficient manner in which they went about their business. We would have no problem recommending them in the future.

SafeZone were excellent in dealing with a large, entirely asbestos contructed (walls, roof, facias etc), garage that was on a property I purchased. Arranging the work was quick and simple, and their team on the day were proffesional, efficient, and tidy.

If you're buying a property and asbestos comes up on the survey then absolutely call SafeZone before deciding not to purchase. From my experience, it's highly likely that the removal and disposal will be much easier and quicker than all the horror stories in the media lead us to believe.

A great service end to end.

Michael Thorley, owner of SafeZone Asbestos Solutions

We have seen this 15,000 times

Most people who ring me have just found something they weren't expecting, and they don't know whether it's asbestos or what it costs to deal with. That is a normal place to start from.

We have completed 15,000 removals. I'll tell you what is likely to be asbestos, what genuinely needs removing, and what can safely be left where it is. A fair amount of what I get called out to falls into that last group, and I would rather say so than quote you for work you don't need.

If it does need to go, we remove it under controlled conditions, double wrap it, and take it to a licensed facility. The disposal paperwork comes back to you with the job.

Send me a photo and a postcode and I'll come back with a price. If you would rather talk it through first, ring me.

Questions people ask us first

If yours isn't here, give us a ring and ask.

How much does asbestos removal cost?
It depends on what the material is, how much of it there is and how easy it is to get to. A garage roof is a straightforward job. A high-access barn roof or a ceiling that has been damaged is not. Send us a photo and a postcode and we will give you a firm price, free, with no site visit and no obligation. You will not get a vague range and a pushy phone call.
Do I need a survey before you can quote?
Usually not. For most domestic jobs we can tell from a photo what we are looking at and price it from there. If a survey genuinely is needed we will say so and explain why, rather than adding one as a matter of course.
Is it dangerous to leave it where it is?
Not always. Asbestos that is in good condition, sealed and not going to be disturbed can often safely be left alone, and we will tell you when that is the case. It becomes a risk when it is damaged, crumbling, or about to be drilled, cut or knocked about during building work. If you are planning a renovation, that is the point to deal with it.
How quickly can you get to me?
Most jobs are booked within the week, and we have turned urgent collections around the same day when someone is stuck mid-project. Call us and you will get a straight answer on timing, not a callback.
What happens to the material after you take it away?
It is removed under controlled conditions to keep fibre release down, double wrapped, and transported to a licensed hazardous waste facility. You get the disposal paperwork for your records, which matters if you are selling the property or a building control officer asks.
Are you properly qualified?
Yes. All work is carried out in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and HSE guidance, with the right PPE and procedures on every job, whether it is a single flue pipe or a full barn roof.
Do you cover my area?
Almost certainly. We travel a fair distance for the right job, so send us your postcode and we will confirm straight away rather than have you guess from a list of towns.

Still not sure where to start? That is most people's first call.
